1998
Our Silver Anniversary was celebrated with Bartok’s Duke Bluebeard’s Castle and a commissioned work – Howard Jones’ Thamesside Variations.
2002
We recorded Scott Benzie’s music for the film Room 36 directed by Jim Groom.
2003
Our 30th Anniversary included Bernstein’s SongFest – a vocal extravaganza for six soloists and large orchestra
2017
We recorded a BT Sport ad of the UEFA Champions’ League Anthem “conducted” by Gary Lineker.
2018
Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra became a registered charity.
2023
Our 40th Anniversary included Delius’s Paris and Debussy’s complete Images, marking the joint 150th Anniversary of both composers.

The WPO rehearses on Sundays in central London. Our conductor is Jonathan Butcher. We welcome experienced amateur musicians and we have particular vacancies at the moment for violins, violas, cellos and double basses, though everyone is welcome.
